Tom Lynn at Spirit Hockey Camp - Darien
Spirit Hockey Camp is thrilled to announce Mr. Tom Lynn of Veritas Hockey will be joining Spirit Hockey Camp Darien, running July 16-19 at the Darien Sportsplex. Tom is a principal of Veritas Hockey, a sports agency that represents professional hockey players worldwide. He will join SHC Darien to share his experiences in sports and living as a Catholic in that arena.
Tom began his time in sports administration as an attorney in New York representing the National Hockey League, National Basketball Association and several Major League Baseball teams from 1994 to 1999. He then was hired as one of the first front office employees of the newly started Minnesota Wild, serving the team as the Assistant General Manager and Acting General Manager for nine seasons for the Wild starting in 2000—the team’s first season. Simultaneously, Lynn worked as the General Manager of the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, during which time the team won the Calder Cup Championship in 2003. In 2011, Tom became a player agent—representing players such as 2016 NHL Rookie of the Year and Chicago-favorite Artemi Panarin. Lynn has also written a book called “How to Bake an NHL Franchise From Scratch: The First Era of the Minnesota Wild.” He is married to his wife, Leslie, and is the father of six hockey-playing kids. They are members of St. Agnes Parish in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Veritas Hockey provides guidance to amateur hockey players and representation for professional hockey players in many different leagues and levels. Based in Minnesota, New Jersey and North Dakota, they focus on development of new and upcoming players, from junior hockey leagues to best-fit college programs to preparation for the NHL Draft. Led by Mr. Lynn, Veritas accompanies its players to the professional sphere and negotiates contracts for the athletes and prospective teams.
We look forward to having Tom join us at camp and to hear his wonderful testimony about his Catholic faith and the great sport of hockey!
