Catholic Soccer Camp wrapped up another great camp last week in Elmhurst, Illinois at Plunkett Athletic Complex. Nearly 80 kids participated in the 2018 Catholic Soccer Camp led by seven coaches, headlined by Fr. Chase Hilgenbrinck—Diocese of Peoria priest, former professional in Chile and with the New England Revolution—and Brittany Bock: seven-year professional in Women’s Professional Soccer, the National Women’s Soccer League and two-time Academic All-American at the University of Notre Dame.

The campers experienced authentic faith encounters and witnesses, led by Fr. Chase and his powerful vocation story to the priesthood on Family Night. Additionally, Catholic Soccer Camp incorporated mass, adoration and confession with the soccer instruction every day—intertwining faith and athletics for a truly unforgettable time. The kids were able to grow physically, mentally and spiritually over the course of the camp.

Check out this testimony from a 2018 Catholic Soccer Camp family:

“Thank you so much for a totally awesome four-day soccer camp! Our whole family loved it. Our boys left each day talking about all the stories, experiences, joys, new friends and great counselors. Our dinner conversations were about who the “Disciple for the Day” was, who won the juggling contest and how great the lunches were—especially the “big bag of chips!” So, again—many thanks. And thank you for all your hard work, it really paid off. All of the homilies and witness talks were so moving and have inspired us in many ways.”

Catholic Sports Camps will continue through the 2018 summer with Spirit Hockey Camp (July 16-19 at the Darien Sportsplex) and Mike Sweeney’s Baseball Camp (July 22-25 at Benet Academy in Lisle, IL.)
